Market consolidation in the logistics sector is propelling new customers towards owner-managed medium-sized companies like Transbest.
The ITJ’s editor-in-chief Ursula Schmeling spoke with managing director Ingo Duhm about his future priorities and political challenges.
Mr Duhm, Transbest, headquartered in Offenbach (Germany), has become one of the few remaining owner-managed independent international groupage freight forwarders in the Frankfurt Rhine Main region. Have you gained or lost customers since the sale of Kayser to Kuehne + Nagel?

Since November 7, 2007, transbest are successfully audited by the European Accredit Review for logistic companies SQAS: The SQAS CERTIFICATE states the high quality standards in the areas of ecology, quality management, heath care, fire prevention, anti terrorism activities and hazardous cargo management, which emphasises once again our international competitiveness, especially for our customers with extremely high safety and quality requirements. Due to a repeated inspection every 3 years, a continous quality is assured, not only in the fields of transport and logistics, but as well as in the peripheral segments, so that all forwarding activities can be rounded off homogeneously.
